Couplings and clutches are mainly used to connect two shafts to each other.Their main functions are to transmit motion and torque, but the former does not disengage during work, while the latter has the function of engagement and separation.

(XNUMX) Assembly of coupling

1. Assembly technical requirements

Regardless of the type of coupling, the main technical requirement for assembly is to ensure the coaxiality requirements of the two shafts.Otherwise, the two connected shafts will generate additional resistance and increase mechanical vibration when rotating.In severe cases, the coupling and shaft may be deformed or damaged.For rigid couplings that rotate at high speeds, this requirement is particularly important.Therefore, use a dial indicator to check the coupling runout and the coaxiality error of the two shafts during assembly.

2. Assembly method

When assembling the flanged coupling, first install the flat key and flange discs 3 and 4 on the shaft 1 and shaft 2, and fix the gear box.Then fix the dial indicator on the flange plate 2 so that the dial indicator probe is placed on the outer circle of the flange plate 1, and rotate the two shafts synchronously to ensure the coaxiality of the two flange plates according to the reading of the dial indicator. Claim.After aligning, fix the motor and coupling, but tighten the fixing bolts properly when fixing, so as not to affect the accuracy of alignment.

The main technical requirements of the clutch assembly are: the clutch is sensitive when engaged or disengaged, can transmit enough torque, and the work is balanced and reliable.

2. Assembly method

(1) Disc friction clutch.

It is required that the clearance should be proper when loosening after assembly.If the gap is too large, the pressure will not be enough during manipulation, the inner and outer friction plates will slip, the transmission torque is not enough, and the friction plates are also prone to heat and wear.If the gap is too large, the manipulation and compression will be laborious, and the insurance effect will be lost. When the machine is stopped, the friction plate is not easy to disengage, and the friction plate may burn out in severe cases.

The adjustment method is to first press the positioning pin 2 into the gap of the nut 1, and then turn the nut 1 to adjust the gap.After adjustment, the positioning pin should be ejected to prevent the nut from loosening during work.

(2) Cone friction clutch.

When assembling, use the coloring method to check the contact between the two cone surfaces. The color spots should be evenly distributed on the entire cone surface.If the color spot is close to the bottom of the cone or the top of the cone, it means that the angle of the cone is inaccurate. At this time, use grinding, scraping or grinding to repair it.After assembly, the friction force can be obtained by adjusting the nut 5 at the left end of the shaft 2.When the spring pressure in the middle increases, the friction force generated between the two tapered surfaces 3 and 4 also increases accordingly.When the handle 1 is turned to the "split" position of the clutch, the two cones can be separated.
